Yes — HDMI port replacement is the single most common job through our workshop. We replace HDMI ports at board level on PS5, PS5 Pro, PS5 Slim, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, and Nintendo Switch docks (including Switch 2). We use a temperature-controlled hot-air rework station and only fit OEM-grade replacement ports. Most HDMI repairs are turned around in 3–5 working days, and every console is tested on a 4K display before it goes back to you.

Most standard repairs — HDMI port replacement, USB-C charging port replacement, joycon drift, fan clean, thermal repaste — are completed in 3–5 working days from the day we book the console in. Complex board-level work, parts on order, or unusual faults can take 7–10 working days. You'll get a clear timeframe at the diagnostic stage before any work begins, and we'll let you know if anything changes mid-repair.

Yes. We repair the Nintendo Switch 2 alongside the original Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED. Common Switch 2 jobs include Joy-Con 2 drift and rail repair, screen replacement, USB-C charging port repair, dock HDMI port replacement, and game card / microSD Express reader faults. We use Switch 2-compatible replacement parts and follow Nintendo's torque, sealing, and shielding standards on reassembly.

For the vast majority of repairs — HDMI port replacement, charging port, fan, thermal repaste, controller work — your saves and installed games are not touched. For storage-related repairs (SSD failure, drive replacement on PS5 Pro for example) we always try to preserve and migrate your data, and where the storage itself is the fault we'll discuss the options before going ahead. We strongly recommend signing in to PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, or Nintendo Account before drop-off to enable cloud saves as a backup.

Yes. Bringing a console into the Portsmouth workshop isn't always convenient, so we offer an insured collection and delivery service that covers Portsmouth, Southsea, Fareham, Gosport, Waterlooville, Havant, Southampton and the wider Hampshire area. Your console is packed securely for the return trip and tracked at every stage. Book the collection at the same time as the repair.

Permanent. We don't do a clean-and-pray on joycon drift — we replace the analogue stick module entirely. You can choose between an original-spec replacement module or, on most Switch and Joy-Con 2 controllers, a drift-resistant Hall-effect upgrade that is far less likely to develop drift again. Both options are calibration-tested before the controller goes back to you.

Yes. We cover the full handheld PC lineup — Steam Deck (LCD and OLED), Asus ROG Ally and ROG Ally X, Lenovo Legion Go, and MSI Claw. Typical jobs include analogue stick replacement (including Hall-effect upgrades), USB-C charging port repair, screen and digitiser replacement, fan cleaning, thermal repaste, microSD reader repair on the ROG Ally, and SSD upgrades up to 2TB.
